TEMPLIERS,
L’Investiture de COIMBRA au Portugal (21, 22 et 23 Mai 2009) a été un très grand moment de chaleur et d’amour. Les Templiers présents en garderont un souvenir profond. L’ALLEMAGNE et la FRANCE étaient représentées pour cette occasion. Notre Grand Maître Dom Fernando PINTO DE SOUSA FONTES a dirigé les Adoubements comme à son habitude avec une grande maitrise, et solennité.
Le Commandeur de COIMBRA «Rainha Santa Isabel» (du Grand Prieuré du PORTUGAL) nous a reçus de façon extrêmement agréable et chevaleresque, nous l’en remercions vivement, les Chevaliers Français auront au fond de leur cœur, gardé cette Fraternelle amitié reçue de nos Frères Portugais.
Le Chapitre a été suivi des Célébrations du 900ème Anniversaire de la Naissance du Premier Roi du PORTUGAL : Dom Alfonso HENRIQUES, Ancêtre de notre Grand Maitre Dom Fernando PINTO DE SOUSA FONTES.

KNIGHT TEMPLARS,
The Investiture of COIMBRA in Portugal (21st, 22nd and 23rd of May, 2009) was a very great moment of heat and love. The Knight Templars present will have a major memory of it. GERMANY and FRANCE were represented for this occasion. Our Grand Master Dom Fernando PINTO de SOUSA FONTES directed the Dubbings as to his practice with a great control, and solemnity.
The Commander of COIMBRA “Rainha Santa Isabel” (of the Grand Priory of PORTUGAL) received us in a way extremely pleasant and chivalrous, highly let us thank we it, the French Knight Templars will have at the bottom of their heart, kept this Fraternal received friendship of our Portuguese Brothers.
The Chapter was followed by the Celebrations of the 900ème Birthday of the Birth of the First King of the PORTUGAL : Dom Alfonso HENRIQUES, Ancestor of our Grand Master Dom Fernando PINTO de SOUSA FONTES.

La Commanderie de COIMBRA, Rainha Santa Isabel, espère votre présence à la Cérémonie d’Investiture Templière qui aura lieu les 22, 23 et 24 Mai 2009, comme décrit dans le Programme en annexe.
Cette Investiture sera insérée dans le programme de la Chambre Municipale de COIMBRA en Commémoration des 900 ans de la naissance du Roi Dom Afonso HENRIQUES. Les Templiers connaissent l’importance de ce Roi dans l’expansion de l’Ordre du Temple dans les territoires Portugais.
La participation de l’Ordre du Temple à cet évènement officiel, sera gratifiante et honorable, et donnera aussi une plus grande visibilité de notre Ordre et sera aussi la reconnaissance de l’importance et du travail notable de notre Grand Maître Dom Fernando PINTO FONTES. Pour cette raison, la participation des membres constituera une pleine justification et une opportunité de la croissance de l’Ordre avec la Cérémonie de l’entrée de nouveaux membres.
Nous demandons à tous de participer et à faire la divulgation de cet évènement.

This Investiture is notable for forming part of Coimbra City Council’s programme of events to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the birth of King Dom Afonso Henriques. Knowing as we Templars do the important role this king played an in the expansion of the Order in Portuguese territories, associating ourselves with this official commemoration is not only gratifying and honourable, but also raises the profile of our Order. It is an implicit recognition both of its importance and also of the praiseworthy work of our Grand Master Dom Fernando Pinto Flores. For this reason we are calling upon all of you to attend so that the ranks of our Order might be swelled by new members.
We ask you all to participate in and publicise this event.

As part of Coimbra City Council’s initiative to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the birth of the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques, The Commandery of Coimbra - Rainha Santa Isabel will hold a Templar Investiture in Coimbra on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th May of this year. The event will be marked by the presence of His Preeminent Highness Dom Fernando Pinto Fontes, Grand Master and Prince Regent of the Order of Templars.
